Non Trek

Recently I've been told to read Trudi Canavan's "Black Magician Trilogy". When I started I just knew it's about magicians, so clearly fantasy stuff. Short after starting with the first book of the trilogy, "The Magicians Guild", I knew I wanted to finish the complete trilogy and got "The Novice" and "The High Lord" as well. The story is really enthralling.

The story is about a girl living in the poorest part of the city of Imardin. Each year the magicians from the guild cast out the baggers and poor people out of the inner parts of the city. Sonea, the girl this story is about, is one of those cast out to the outer slums of the city. During the purge she has to  discover that she, too, has magical potential. As the magicians realise that they start to look for her while she seeks help from her former friends...

So if you love exciting fantasy stories, you should have a look at these books. I really recommend reading them!
